e) Literature to cement the national identity
From all ages we are pragmatic people; never did we show great attachment to the other artistic form as painting. We did not have painters as Leonard Da Vinci, or a Picassos. Not because we could not have them, simply because we do not have the romantic attachment to painting as Spanish or Italians. Still, we have our own vision of painting an art that goes quite well with our national identity, King George VII will encourage painters to champion this vision so that we have the best painters and artists possible in the same effort to cement our national identity. Our vision of the world has always been tainted by the pragmatism that characterize us and that was behind all the planetary revolutions we have done in all fields from science to literature. In our etho the world is to be changed, the world needs to be alive and dynamic, no dead as on a sad board, alive as a vicking riding on sea, exploring new horizons. We do not conceive the world romantically as the Latin: Spanish, Italians and others. We conceive it as a canvas ready to be built. Still, we have a huge fascination for the Latin arts. We are opened to new ideas by sticking to ours and enriching it.
The art for art sake movement was championed by us, as we see the art should be a ready canvas for man to express itself without any limit of romantic and unhelpful utilitarian perspective, which wants it to be at the service of a cause. It should be at the service of its own cause being giving the latitude to the artists to use it usefully as he felt the impulse. Art should be different of politics, as platform for advocating a political message. It should be dedicated to the celebration of beauty and life and its beauty. In our perspective life should be beautified for being built and transformed. Art should be at the service of inspiring our Subjects to discover and invent, to promulgate and promote. Art should be at the service of building a new world. That is our vision of art, the essence of life and the motivator.
Painting was invented to capture a scene of life, to capture a man at a given moment and eternize it. That was its use. But man as a captor of the reality is a being of opinion, conviction and philosophy, he did not see the world with the same eyes the others do. All those mutations happened before even the invention of camera. Before that it was the master of all visual art, the only support to immortalize the reality, the material. After camera was created, it has to take another function than portraying the reality, under many judgmental angles. Here is how we create the art for art movement, painting as art was supersede by visual and audio supports. Art on the visual scales takes the form of movies, documentaries; when the audio scale to news, music. All those are mean pragmatic and material mean to capture and eternize the material, the living not as living organism. But, still the judgemental and values and opinions tainting of the reality is always here, the cameraman film the material the way he likes it, the way he felt it going with his vision; he chooses to film this scene instead of another for the same purpos. We have not been the only creators of all those scientific revelotution but we created the dynamism through our pragmatism; by distilling in world blood stream the canon of material revolution.
Today, we are disappointed to see the pulling back of our country from the artist creation, in the utilutarian art that we initiated and promoted I mean music and specially cinema. Today the art of art, the greatest form of art that is useful at all regard, is cinema, the art of creation values, vision, and giving the world a trend, a purpose. The moving images condemned, celebrated, praised, cried, clapped, sentenced what is wrong or right; promulgue how life should be lived by themselves without any supporting words to influence just by the way you capture and combine the elements of the living. So, how can we cement our nationality identity, without using chiefly cinema that will depict the image of the British hero, without depicting our vision, new series as 007 are needed and we create and promote endless, for the only purpose of selling our country vision in the world, setting our vision on it, and cementing our national identity. Cinema as art of reality deserves all our attention for cementing our national identity and reawakening our country super power in the world. National series as 007 is about defining our national identity as a Constitutional Monarchy, in the world arena because most of the intringues of the series happen on the world stage in many countries. It is not centered on us, but it is centered on us, interacting with other countries in their own countries. Many more needs to be created that will be centered on us, how as people as subjects, we interact among each other, just American nation defining series Desperate House Wives, Prison Break, Gossip Girls, The House of Cards. All those series are supreme art, and more than useful in cementing American national identity, and promoting American image in the world, and setting its hegemony on it. On the scale of the promotion of the national identity it shows to Americans what unite them as people, how American live their lives, fashion trend, the architectural trend in America, the matters that matter for Americans, their occupations; their ways of living each other. What is cementing the national identity than empowering those points, showing to a people what they have as common denominator. If cinema is not the art of art, nothing is. It should be the best choosen instrument of cementing our national identity. No matter the greatness of our successes, if we do not advertise them, use them at the service of uniting us, for inventing and discovering more it, they are useless.
Seen on the world stage those series, give to the others an image of Americans, how wealthy they are, how they have a good fashion and architectural tastes, how they are interact among each other as civilized citizens of a country. It gives a serein image of Americawith its drama of all kind, wealth and power.
It is with profoundsadnessthat we remark that we are not using this mean to promote our national identity, and the others, as America is promoting those series on world stage, in our country, and developing in England an English national identity based on the American ones that our subjects follow daily on their TV screens, and was influenced directly and indirectly by those ideas and values that are promoted; we do not give ourselvesany mean to reduce their impact by developing and releasing our own massive series in the same important fields. King George VII, seeing then the importance of cinema in promoting the national identity will build a proper British cinema which does not exist properly, because it was not advertise. As example there is an India cinema, an American, a Nigerian, a French cinema, but still a British cinema is needed nowhere do you hear on BBC the word British cinema being used, or a movie being refereed, simply because it does not exist in fact, though exist on ground. The reason ofthat state is the council isdeliberatelysilencing our cinema. And whenever, a country national identity is not celebrated (nowadays mainly through cinema)independentist feelings breaks and develop in thecountry, people do not feel touch by the interests of their country, as daily they see nothing that tell them, they are Subjects, they are a Kingdom, they are tied by the same faith. King George VII will end this, and afford us the greatest cinema in the world, we will empower what we have in common, what tie us, and how are we as people; and sell those image to the world, we are the great potential market for that as a country with a planetary empires. They are impatient to keep up with us, impatient to see what it meantto be British, inknowing how it should be then to live as people with British values set in the culture, literature, sciences fields. Still nothing, they are waiting and waiting.
