It is a secret for no one that Cameroon is in civil war: the English Speaking region of the country demands the respect and protection of their differences, or simply their independence. To that the Paul Biya's goverment answered with massive arrest of their leaders and of all who are legetimely fighting as they have the right for their recognision as full citizen of their country.
Recently, Paul Biya was reelected in an election that the opposition declare is marred with polls rigging and declared instead its candidate, Maurice Kamto the winner. Recently there are demonstrations in the country organised by Mr Kamto's Party demanding the resignation of Mr Biya. For this demonstration, yesterday Mr Kamto was arrested. BCST UK underlines that the non release of the opposition leader, Maurice Kamto will only sink the country in a total and definitive civil war that is simply predectable with the on going civil war.
We demand also the release of the independentists leaders. There is one solution to that war, which is negotiation. Why didn't the Cameroonian government organize a referundum to give the English Speaking Cameroonian region choice to stay or being independent? That is how such differences were settle all over the world, South Sudan was the last case in the continent.
Regarding the political crisis it is also connected tightly to the English Speaking region, a global politics is needed, and it is exactly what Mr Biya needs to explore. As consequences of the civil war, the country was denied at the last moment the organisation of the African Cup of Nations it has been selected to organize.
The civil war is also totally linked to the planetary movement to demand the release of Prince Charles and the resumption of his duty. The monarchists see in it as mean to put pressure on France, the former coloniser of the country (beside the legitimate right of the English Speaking Cameroonians to be respected in their country), to withraw its support to the council so that their Prince will be released and had his absolute right. Already in France there is the Gilets Jaunes which almost sinking France in civil war demanding the same thing, and Mr Macron government refused to negotiate.
